A New Year of Art, Community, and Inspiration at Heritage Hall Museum

As 2025 begins, Heritage Hall Museum in Talladega, Alabama, is kicking off a year filled with art, community, and local talent. This exciting journey starts on January 30 with the Spotlight on Local Arts exhibition. The Opening Reception on January 30, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM marks the launch of the exhibition and the 2025 Jemison-Carnegie Membership Drive.

The exhibition features stunning visual art by local creators in multiple media. Attendees will have the chance to meet the artists, learn about their work, and connect with fellow art lovers. The exhibition runs from January 30 to February 28, so there’s plenty of time to immerse yourself in the creativity of our community.

In February, Larry Allen, a renowned potter with works in collections like the Birmingham Museum of Art, will share his journey and creative process in an exclusive talk. This free event is open to the public and provides a rare opportunity to engage with a master artist. Stay tuned for additional Artist visits to be announced.

The museum’s vibrant year continues with the Helen Keller Art Show in March, featuring artwork by students from the Helen Keller School. In April, Nancy Goodman’s contemporary art quilts will be on display, followed by the popular Art on the Lawn event, where artists paint live, artisans sell their crafts, and live music fills the air.

Summer brings KidsART 2025, showcasing children’s artwork from the Art in the Schools program, alongside summer arts camps in painting, pottery, music, and more.

In the fall, the museum will host a Tommy Moorehead tribute exhibit, celebrating his lasting impact on local art, and wrap up the year with the beloved Holiday Market, featuring unique handmade gifts from regional artisans.

Heritage Hall Museum is the place to be in 2025, where creativity and community come together. Whether you’re an artist, an art lover, or someone looking for inspiration, join us for a year of unforgettable experiences.
