Brightening up the Memory Care Unit at Talladega Health and Rehab with hope and positivity.

We are deeply grateful to The Heritage Hall Museum, Valerie White, Sundi Hawkins, and the remarkable young artists who dedicated their summer to creating inspiring art pieces. Their artwork brightened up the Memory Care Unit at Tallagega Health and Rehab with hope and positivity.

In our quest to find different projects that involve our young artists in town, we are grateful for the partnership with Ms Jessica Dewitt, Assistant Director of the Season's Assisted Living facility in Talladega. We planned to create large paintings that would be installed in the dining room of the Memory Care Unit at the Talladega Health and Rehab facility. Ms Sundi Hawkins led a rotating group of Chamber Ambassadors and local youth to create and install nine beautiful pieces that are bringing smiles to the residents. Ms Jessica also organized a great session for the group to learn a bit more about dementia and the impact it has on individuals and families. The residents gathered for the installation of the pieces and everyone was humbled by the joy it brought to the room.
