Rewind - Local Arts Exhibit 2025

If you missed the opening reception of the Spotlight on Local Arts exhibit, don't worry—you still have time to experience this stunning collection of artwork from our incredibly talented community members! The exhibit is open to the public through February 28, with viewing hours from Tuesday to Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM at the Jemison Carnegie Foundation.

We extend a huge congratulations to the featured artists whose work has already found new homes! Hats off to Penny Arnold, Deborah Belcher, Nettie Bean, Mar Chandler, Christy Emfinger, Walt Costilow, and Nancy Paden for their sales—what an amazing testament to the quality and appeal of their pieces! If you haven’t had the chance to see their work yet, there’s still time to enjoy these masterpieces before the exhibit closes at the end of the month.

A special round of applause goes to our Spotlight Award winners: Craigger Browne, Linda Warwick, Katie Davis, Sondra Carlisle, Bruce Strickland, Mari Chandler, Mary Fountain, Ross Bryant, and Ann Timmerman. Their exceptional contributions truly embody the spirit of artistic excellence. And a big congratulations to Cathy Thornton, the recipient of the People’s Choice Award, as voted by our enthusiastic visitors!

We are immensely grateful to our esteemed judges, Deb and Steve Garst, for their expertise and dedication in selecting this year’s outstanding artists. Their keen eye for artistic brilliance has helped highlight the best of our local talent.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of the Alabama State Council on the Arts, the Jemison Carnegie Foundation, and the City of Talladega. Their commitment to fostering the arts in our community plays a crucial role in providing local artists with platforms to showcase their work.

We invite everyone to come out and explore the incredible creativity on display. Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a collector, or simply looking to be inspired, the Spotlight on Local Arts exhibit is a must-see event. Mark your calendars and don’t miss this chance to celebrate the artistic spirit of our community!
